The Longhorn Basketball teams were in action Friday night against the Lead Hill Tigers. We had an awesome crowd. Thank you to all of the fans for showing up to support the teams.
The Jr. High Lady Longhorns came away with a good win to kick off the 3 game night. Harper Rowden lead all scorers with 16 and Marlee Wray followed up with 14.
The Lady Longhorns started the season with a win, defeating the Lead Hill Tigers by the score of 73-33. Cheyenne Newberry led all scorers with 25 points followed by Taylor Richardson with 19.
In the final matchup of the night, the Longhorn Sr. Boys fought hard but ended up coming up short. Seth Worsham lead the way for the Longhorns with 13 points. CJ McMillan added 12 and Denver Habers with 9.
The Longhorn basketball teams are back in action this coming Tuesday night at home against the Maynard Tigers!

Viola FBLA needs your help with our community service project.
Many children around the world have never received a gift — let’s change that! Viola FBLA is collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child to pack 50 shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and essential items.
We need small toys (that fit in a shoebox with a lot of other items) and school supplies like notebooks, crayons, markers, stickers, and pencils. Every donation helps share joy and hope with a child in need!
You can drop off your items during school hours until November 17. Make sure you let us know it's for FBLA .

Students in 9th and 10th grade were given the opportunity to attend Trailblazer Days at the ASUMH Tech Center with Ms. Stone. They were able to talk with professors in CDL Truck driving, machining, mechatronics, boating, automotive, and welding. Students got some hands on experiences and learned what types of jobs they could get after receiving any of these Technical Certificates.
Longhorn Innovation Day, sponsored by the Beta Club, will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Viola High School. It is FREE to all 2nd to 6th Grade Viola Elementary students. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

The Viola School District is growing and thriving. Our current enrollment has reached 390 students—the highest we’ve had since the 2015–2016 school year. This milestone reflects the strong support of our community, and the commitment of our staff and families who make Viola Schools a great place for students to learn, lead, and succeed.
