Reminder to parents of seniors! College application and FSA ID night is tomorrow, Wednesday, 11/29/23

Monday night's peewee boys basketball scrimmage will begin at 5pm (a little later than normal). The senior high teams will then play Couch at 5:30pm.

With the collaboration of Mrs. Richmond, second graders participated in a Thanksgiving Break Out Box activity! This activity was the perfect ending to a unit in teamwork. The first place teams demonstrated a great effort in teamwork, math skills, many different reading challenges, and was able to save Tom the Turkey from being Thanksgiving dinner!

Happy Thanksgiving! Viola School will be closed all week so families can better enjoy the holiday.

Miss McIntosh's first grade has been learning about sound this week. Before their Thanksgiving Break students did a lab where they observed vibrations from tuning forks making salt seem to move on its own!

Students took an industry visit to Baxter Health and got to visit the simulation center. They got to draw blood from a dummy arm, work as physical therapists, learn about feeding patients with special eating needs, and get dressed out for surgery.

Hoop Shoot competition will begin at Viola after Thanksgiving break. The event is sponsored by the Elks Lodge.

The basketball games originally scheduled on 11/21/23 at home verse Couch have been moved to 11/27/23. Senior girls, senior boys B, and the senior boys teams will play.
The senior girls are still scheduled to play 11/21/23 at the Bergman Classic.

Second Graders enjoyed a guest reader, Diane Cobler, during Red Ribbon Week! She read The Red Ribbon. It was a story about hope and teamwork! Thanks, Ms. Diane!

Some students took an industry visit to Kidspiration in Mountain Home today. Students learned about the center for children with special needs and careers in speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and applied behavior analysts.
