The Longhorn golf team was back in action yesterday at The Golf Course on Turkey Mountain. It was a warm day but a good day.
The Lady Longhorn Golf team had 2 players finish in the top 5. Senior Avery Rogers finished tied for 2nd overall, just 1 stroke behind the 1st place score. Senior Taylor Richardson was right on their heels finishing 5th overall.
The boys had a really good day across the board for all 6 of our golfers. Our team placed 3rd place overall just 1 stroke behind 2nd place. We had 4 golfers finish in the top 10, with the other 2 just a couple strokes behind them. Junior Trip Swindle shot a personal best and led the way for the Longhorns, finishing 5th overall. Juniors Rhett Robbins and Braxton Howell and Freshman Kealan Gaines were all just a couple strokes behind also finishing in the top 10.
It was a great day for our Longhorn Golf teams. We have one more regular season match before postseason play. Our district tournament match is next Monday September 21st.

Our 8th grade science students used water ripple tanks to explore mechanical waves and see how waves travel through a medium, transferring energy along the way. Hands-on learning makes science come alive! 🔬

Many of our staff members will be attending services for Reid Grant, and we won't have adequate substitute coverage to safely and effectively operate our schools. This day will not need to be made up — our calendar's built-in additional instructional hours already account for it.
We know this loss may be difficult for some of our students and staff. Counseling services will be available at each school for anyone who needs support — please reach out to your building counselor to access this resource.

Attention Viola Band Parents!!! Here's the schedule for tomorrow's trip to the Hogs Game.
Attention Little Longhorn Basketball players, the sign up forms for the West Plains League went home this week. If you misplaced it, please get with us or print this one off and send it with your child back to school. We will gather the sign up forms, get them to the coaches, and they will be in contact with you.
We encourage you to get your little ones involved. There are divisions for Kindergarten through 6th grade both boys and girls. We are going to set the deadline to return these forms for September 18th.
