Right now until October 24th you can apply to AState for free! The fee has been waived. If you plan on applying, now is your chance. The University of Arkansas has also waived their fee until this Sunday, October 15th!!
We all had a great time at the Viola Elementary School Fall Festival this year. There was a great crowd. The weather was great, a perfect fall evening. I hope everyone was able to visit, play games and have fun. Thanks to the Viola community for coming out and supporting the Viola Elementary School.

Flu Shot Clinic will be held October 27, 2023 starting at 930am in the Viola School Storm Shelter. Permission forms will be sent home with students at the end of next week. Students under 18 must have a permission form signed by parent or guardian to get vaccine. FLU vaccine ONLY will be given. Around 6pm Jr jv girls will scrimmage for a half. Followed by the JR boys.
Around 7 pm the freshman girls and sr girls will scrimmage for a half.
The sr boys should tip off around 7:45 pm.
As usually we will have a silent auction to raise money for the jr class. All proceeds will go toward prom expenses.
Braden Williams competed in the state overall golf tournament today. Braden was 1 of 18 golfers invited to this event. Braden is the first Viola Boys golfer to qualify for this event, and we hope he's not the last! Congrats Braden and Hook'em!
The FFA will be doing the annual BBQ fundraiser at the school on October 29th from 11 am to 3 pm! To-go BBQ sandwich plates, with all the fixings, will be $10 each. We will have tables set out if the weather is nice. If you'd like to preorder a smoked boston butt for $35, message the FFA's facebook page or Mr. May! The preorders will be available the 28th. Get them before they sell out again!

The Junior Class Second Annual Ragball Tournament was a huge success. Mr. Vacante begun this fundraiser last year to support the students, and it continues to be successful due to his organization and dedication. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate and enjoy the lovely day. A special thanks to Shannon Sherrill for volunteering. In addition, much gratitude is owed to the Bank of Salem for sponsoring the winner's t-shirts.

On Saturday September 23 the Viola bands travelled to Jonesboro to participate in the ASU band Day. We enjoyed being able to practice and perform with A-State Bands at the halftime of the Southern Mississippi game.
Reminder : Viola Elementary Fall Festival , Friday October 6th. Location will be at the Viola City Park and times are from 6 to 8 pm. There will be Games for all ages as well as concession stand. Ticket's will be sold at the entry gate and are priced as follows : $ .25 per Ticket or a bag of 20 Tickets for $ 5.00. Hope to see you then !
