All 13 members of the Viola chapter of FBLA attended the 2022 District VI Fall Leadership Conference at ASU-Mountain Home on October 5, 2022. The Fall Leadership Conference serves as the kick-off event for the new FBLA school year.
This year’s conference featured a change drive for Arkansas Children’s Hospital, a parade of local FBLA chapter Presidents, including our own Dana Wright, the acceptance of the newest members of FBLA, and a local officer induction ceremony. The keynote speaker at the conference was Miss Arkansas, Ebony Mitchell, who spoke about the importance of staying safe online and avoiding cyberbullying.
After the conference, Mr. Thrasher enjoyed having lunch at Jamie’s Restaurant in Mountain Home with the students before returning to school. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Regina Snelgroes, who graciously agreed to drive the students to the conference.
The Spring Leadership Conference, where students will compete in various aspects of business, will take place on Friday, January 27, 2023 on the campus of ASU-Mountain Home.
