Golf Update from Coach Hughes
The Viola Boys golf team completed their season with a competitive performance in the 1A State golf tournament at Indian Hills Golf Course in Fairfield Bay.
For what I believe to be the 6th year in a row, Viola has an All State boys golfer. Braden Williams finished 5th over all with an 87 to qualify for All State.
As a team the Viola Boys finished 5th out of 12 schools in the state tournament with a score of 312. This score was only 3 strokes behind the 3rd place school. Gavin Blevins, AJ Kinder, and Kody Hart all posted competitive scores and gained valuable experience for next year.
I’m very proud of the efforts of our boys golf team. We are continuing to grow this sport at Viola. These boys are leading the way.
