The Viola SR Girls and Boys Golf teams placed first today in the 1A-2 district tournament at Turkey Mountain Golf Course. For both teams, this was the first time in school history to finish first overall. 

The Viola Boys finished with a team score of 314, 24 strokes ahead of the second place team. 

Braden Williams shot an 84, to finish as the overall first place medalist. 

The Viola Girls also finished in first place with a team score of 307, 80 strokes better than the second place team. 

AJ MCCandlis shot an 86, and finished as the overall first place medalist. 
Sayde Waltrip shot a 108, and finished as the second place medalist overall. 

Kailey Hallmark and Haylee Crotts both finished 3rd and 4th respectively overall, giving the Lady Longhorns a clean sweep of the 1-4 spots. 

Both teams have qualified for the state tournament in Fairfield Bay in the upcoming weeks.
