What a day the ladies and men had during the Viola Longhorn Golf Scramble. It began with a rain delay just as they started the first hole. The sky cleared and they resumed play soaking wet and on an extremely wet course. However, that did not stop their dedication and drive (yes, pun intended). Nature had its way and a few hours later the sky let loose again, this time causing a permanent end of play. We were able to score based on the number of holes played and using parr for unplayed holes.
We can not express how proud we are of the golfers as they showed patience, and dedication to the cause of the tournament. They were not there to play/win a round of golf, they were there to donate to the students of Viola and it showed. We tip our hats to the golfer community and again we are very proud of all the ladies and men that came out and persevered in support of the Viola Longhorns.
