Closing Dates for the  2021-2022 School Year: 

August 13 -- Last Day of Summer Break 2021

November 23-26 -- Thanksgiving Break

December 21-31 -- Christmas Break

March 22-25 -- Spring Break

April 15 -- Good Friday 

May 25-27 -- Scheduled Start of Summer Break 2022 (weather permitting)

School closings for inclement weather will be announced several different ways this year:

• Viola School is now using its new Apptegy school app and webpage (violalonghorns.org) to push messages and phone calls to parents. We will not always use phone calls. To update numbers or other contact information, call the elementary or high school office. (Staff should call the administrative office.)

• Apptegy also allows us to send messages to the schools Facebook page (VSD#15)

• If internet access is available, this page will be updated to reflect that school has been canceled. (https://www.violalonghorns.org/page/closing-information)

• Traditional television and radio stations will also be notified. Below is a list of some stations that we try to notify. Because of the convenience of the Apptegy service, this list is short.
